Done this past weekend at the San Diego Crossfit seminar. Not super-pretty, but got it done.

Lincoln,

Well done and congratulations on reaching a significant milestone in your ring training.

One thing that I noticed is that you suffered somewhat unnecessarily during this muscle-up. (However as this is CrossFit, perhaps a little suffering is a good thing!) During your transition, you were slow in getting your elbows to vertical; or in other words getting them as close to directly above your hands as possible. This small change in position during the transition will make the dip portion of the muscle-up much easier.

Yours in Fitness,
Coach Sommer

Nice job Lincoln! I've learned a lot from reading your posts here and on many other web sites. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. Cheers, Scott

Thanks, Coach! That should help a lot.

The transition certainly felt awkward, felt like I couldn't get on top of the rings to start the dip. I've only had access to rings a few times and I haven't been doing dips that much, so I'm sure once I get more practice they'll be much easier.

Laura, I'm sure you'll get some.
