Reshaping the CrossFit Games from 2019 *****

https://morningchalkup.com/2018/08/2...rossfit-games/ WFS

What do you make of this??

I wonder if they have really thought this through. On top of that there is no mention of the masters yet TBD.

I think the games will wash out and the sanctioned events will be the ones to watch because thats where the best athletes will be to watch, and the prize money too.

This might be a business for CF but it is a living for many athletes.

No!!! i am not a big fan of this.

I'm waiting for an official announcement from HQ.

I'm waiting for official word too. I'm sure Coach will be up on a interview with Sevan soon if this is the case.

Doesn't really matter to me that much. I trust that they know more about it than I do.

Masters and Teens- #TBD

That would suck if they changed that.

The funny thing is that it has been 6 days now and we have not heard anything from CFHQ.

Did he deliberately release this information just to see what the reaction was from the athletes around the world or what. I still do not understand why, if the plan is to dilute the games into a mass get together rather than having the elite.

There are millions upon millions of athletes that compete in other sports but still only best make it to the world championships or Olympic games. Even those that do not compete are only interested in the top athletes on TV.

Even though the changes will not affect 99% of all of those that take part in the open, its the whole thing.... going from the elite to just a mass Woodstock of people with 16 elite athletes that won a sanctioned event.

We will just have to wait and see...

I liked it when people could actually say they are going to regionals and do it. Back when a friend from the gym would make it and everyone would get a shirt and show up in force. These combined Regional no horse in the race for years. Don't mind that that the regionals are going; if in fact they do.

They were saying that CF is going towards Crossfit heath and building something, a company or moving towards/focusing at crossfit heath...

What are they going to do when they find out there is an affiliate called just CrossFit Heath and is located in Rockwall, Tx and was established in 2009?
