View Full Version : Keeping alkalinity

Hi Rob, you were recommending that it is best to keep the body partially alkaline for optimal performance. Biochemically, is keeping your ion balance the same thing? Like water being more acid when de-ionized and predominanly positively charged? I am wondering if you might be able to advise on the use of water- or air-ionizers to provide the body with negative ions affecting an alkaline state and neutralising free-radicals? Thanks Paul

I,m not familure with the technology you mention above. I am refering more to the paper Loren Cordain wrote looking at the nutrient profile of a paleo oriented diet using modern foods. It breaks down to requiring ~ 20% of calories to come from vegetable matter. This will obviously varry depending upon whether one is eating predominantly low carb veggies or if one is taking in more fruit.
Much of the water treatment information I have run across in the past has been built on VERY dubious science IMO. I have not investigated the technology further.
