This is actually 2 pb's a 225 pp then a 225 ohs. Kept sinking that baby in the hole, had more in me 'today' but had been chasing this for a while and was quite happy.

Wanted to share,

Thanks guys - It is always nice to break pb's and mental barriers.

Wow, strong lifts. I wish my OHS position were like that with 1/3 the weight.

Not to be a "jerk", but is that a true push-press? You seem to bend your knees to catch it, as in a shallow jerk or missed push-press. Or I might be misunderstanding some form issues again.

Great work!

Spot on, I ment push-jerk! (it was just a bonus to the ohs!)

Nice blog, great pics of your daughter - I have two girl's age 3 and 1!
non-stop action...

Very impressive work Jerry, I wish I had the starch to just hold 225 overhead!

Thanks! The grandparents and assorted family and friends love it. The grandparents clamor for more if it's been a few days (our first child, their first grandchild, so understandable!).

Pretty big lifestyle change but lots of fun and very rewarding for us.

Your form is very impressive especially considering the amount of weight on the bar.

Thanks guys.
It was a beast on shoulder and core stability.

IMO the Back squat is overrated in the S&C community - the OHS is the way to go!
