A lot of folks have a problem with bending their arms too early in the Olympic lifts - the snatch and the clean. "When the arms bend, the power ends." Mental imagery is a powerful tool to fix problems like these and we are often admonished to think of the "arms like they are ropes".

So, with the thought that a picture is worth a thousand words, here's an image of "Arms Like Ropes" to envision prior to the actual lift:
