Now that we have digital coaching which is an excellent addition to the forum, what camera do you rate best for action pictures and small movie taking?
Sorry moderaters! Was not sure where to post this. Lisa

If I was buying a digital camera, it would probably be:

canon (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11041846&whse=BC&topnav=&cat=3264&hierPath=79*83*) or sony (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11068352&whse=BC&topnav=&cat=20499&hierPath=79*83*)

Personally, I like the sony better. I have owned a sony digital camera and camcorder and was impressed by the image quality.

Just remember, with digital cameras (and a few other things)... SIZE DOES MATTER!!!!!! The last thing you want to do is buy a camera that you leave at home because it is too bulky.

I use a Canon Powershot A75. It's a great camera - uses AA batteries, so cheap and easy to replace if the rechargeables wear out. More importantly, it has very good picture quality and shoots nice vid clips for a camera that won't break your wallet. I've taken vid clips around 3 minutes long, and could go longer. It uses a flash memory card, and those are getting pretty cheap for a 512MB card. Comes with cables to connect directly to your TV or whatever for viewing. It fits on tripods and is small enough to fit in a large pocket.

Thanks guys for the input! Great pictures, small movie clips and simplicity are all I am looking for. Hopefully I will be posting soon for some coaching. Lisa
