Ive been lifting weights for a few years, so i have a good strength base. About 6 weeks ago i started practicing Olympic lifts for the first time and watching the Jim Schmitz instructionals from Ironmind.

Ive done this weight several times before (on different days), but its as heavy as i have gone. My full cleans and full snatches arent in full bloom yet, im still practicing them. I seem to be stronger doing the power movements as opposed to full movements...but thats just a lack of technique.
Anyway, any tips and critiques are welcome :-).

You bend your arms early. Also, you need to receive the bar better and faster - get your elbows around quicker.

Ive found with the heavier lifts, all of my flaws are accentuated. Thanks for the observations--I never would have noticed myself bending my arms. I know my catch is all messed up, I think if i practice more reps with a lighter weight this will get fixed. I try to whip my elbows around as fast as possible, but i dont know what drills i could do to get it down quicker. I have some things to work on :).
