I've got a really crabby lower back. The very lowest lumbar area, and only to the left hand side. (Dr.'s appointment pending).

In the interim, what do people with cruddy backs do in lieu of squats and deadlifts? Let me say that I can do bodyweight squats just fine, and all the little variants. Throw a little weight on the bar and OW! I can do dumbell Romanian deadlifts with 100 pounds in each hand. Bar? OW!

Is this just some twist of my bad back? Or is this form?
